Tonight I went out for drinks with my sister to the bar that my brother works at, and late in the night I found myself outside the bar pulling a couple of guys apart who were having a punch on.
I don't recall thinking about going out to stop these guys fighting, I remember standing over them, trying to pull them apart and then getting dragged out of the fray. In the taxi on the way home I asked the driver, 'if you saw people punching on, what would you do?' and he said to me, 'they tell us on the radio if there is something to avoid, don't you remember that girl a few years ago a guy on his way to work got involved and he died'.
I hope and think that it is a normal human behaviour to not want to see people getting hurt (no matter what their behaviour).
I wonder what it is that drives people to behave in such violent ways?
